Years 7 - 10 (Stages 4 and 5) 

Personal Development, Health and Physical Education

The integrated study of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education is mandatory for all students in Years 7 to 10. This course is concerned with developing the knowledge and skills and fostering the attitudes that will empower students to adopt healthy lifestyles. It is founded on a notion of health which encompasses the total wellbeing of the individual. Effective and unique teaching/learning programs will affect the way students think, feel and act in regard to their own wellbeing and that of others and the community in which they live. These programs focus on enabling and encouraging students to make informed decisions related to health, physical activity, lifestyle and life planning. Participation in regular and varied physical activity is an integral component of this course. 

Years 11 - 12 (Stage 6) 

Personal Development, Health and Physical Education

This course is intended to cater for a wide range of interests and needs. Students will have the opportunity to explore the complex physical, mental and social factors that influence health. This course provides a foundation for further studies in the areas of human movement and individual and community health.
